About The Haven at Harvest Moon
A custom-built modern luxury mountain retreat designed to help families reconnect, couples slow down, and guests experience the Smokies in a more intentional way.
Our Story
Why We Built The Haven
a more refined kind of Smoky Mountain stay
The Haven at Harvest Moon was built to be something different from the typical Smoky Mountain rental.
As a custom home builder, Bobby wanted to create a retreat that felt intentional from the start — clean, warm, elevated, and deeply connected to its setting. Rather than leaning into the themed or dated style often found in mountain rentals, The Haven was designed with a more modern vision: Scandinavian-inspired warmth, thoughtful materials, functional gathering spaces, and a calm atmosphere that invites guests to truly settle in.
From the earliest planning stages, the goal was simple: create a place where families can reconnect, couples can slow down, and every guest can feel rested, grounded, and refreshed by the time they leave.
Meet Bobby & Lauren
Locals who wanted to share the Smokies the right way
We’re Bobby and Lauren, locals to the Smoky Mountains and parents of three daughters.
We built The Haven because we wanted families like ours to experience this area differently — not rushing from one attraction to the next, but actually settling in, breathing it in, and enjoying what makes this part of Tennessee so special.
Every detail of the property was chosen with that in mind. The sauna, the screened outdoor living room, the chef’s kitchen, the mountain views, the quiet setting — all of it was designed to create a stay that feels both elevated and deeply comfortable. Our hope is that when guests arrive, they’re able to exhale, settle in, and experience the kind of trip that stays with them long after they head home.
Built Differently, On Purpose
What Makes The Haven Different
Custom design, thoughtful details, and a stay experience that goes beyond the basics
The Haven is not a repurposed cabin or a standard rental dressed up with a few upgraded finishes. It was custom-built from the ground up to deliver a better experience.
That difference shows up everywhere — in the dramatic window wall and cathedral ceiling of the great room, in the screened outdoor living room that functions as a true third living space, and in the wellness-focused features that make the property feel more restorative than routine.
It also shows up in the practical details that matter just as much: a flat driveway, easy access, modern systems, high-speed WiFi, a backup generator, endless hot water, and spaces designed to work well for real families and small groups.
This is a home built to feel beautiful, useful, and memorable all at once.
The Experience
What We Hope Guests Experience
More connection, less rushing
We wanted The Haven to feel like a place where the stay itself becomes part of the reason for the trip.
That might mean slow mornings with coffee and mountain views. A day exploring Townsend, Cades Cove, or the national park. An evening in the sauna followed by the hot tub under the stars. A family dinner around the island. A movie downstairs. Quiet conversation by the fire pit.
More than anything, we wanted to create a place that gives guests room to be together well — with enough beauty, calm, and comfort built into the property that there’s no pressure to fill every hour just to make the trip feel worthwhile.
Who The Haven Is For
Designed for the Right Kind of Getaway
A better fit for guests seeking comfort, calm, and quality time together
The Haven was designed for families, couples, and small groups who want a more peaceful and elevated Smoky Mountain stay.
It’s especially well suited for guests visiting Townsend, Cades Cove, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, and Gatlinburg — but who don’t necessarily want to stay in the middle of the busiest tourist areas.
Guests who appreciate thoughtful design, useful amenities, wellness features, and a quieter setting tend to feel most at home here.
